Ability KC pediatric and adolescent physical, occupational and speech therapists work closely together to develop individualized outpatient treatment plans for children with acquired and congenital disabilities. The therapy teams at Ability KC work closely with families to help children recognize their abilities and reach new goals.
The Ability KC pediatric and adolescent therapy teams are experienced in working with children ages from birth to 18 years old with stroke, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spina bifida, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, multi-trauma and rare conditions.
The Ability KC Main Campus pediatric and adolescent outpatient medical rehabilitation programs also offer interactive metronome services, neuropsychology, serial casting, specialized summer programs and vital stimulation.
Along with therapy services, our on-site classroom teacher helps children and families focus on their return to school and have worked with 20 school districts to establish individualized education plans (IEP) and other accommodations that may be needed.

Education
Ability KC outpatient medical rehabilitation programs utilize an on staff teacher to work as a liaison between families and schools including tutoring, school re-entry and advocacy. Ability KC has worked closely with 20 school districts and numerous schools within those districts to help children and adolescents be successful in reaching their educational goals.
