Adolescent Summer Constraint

Ability KC’s Adolescent Constraint Programming focuses on improving hemiparetic arm function for adolescents, ages 14-18 years old, who have weakness caused by diagnoses such as stroke, brain injury, cerebral palsy, brain tumors or other conditions. Over the course of two weeks our team works with each participant to maximize the use of their affected arm. While wearing the constraint and during bimanual practice, adolescents will work to improve their strength, endurance, coordination and fine motor skills necessary to build basic functional skills that will support them when participating in complex dynamic movements.
