Patrick's Story

When Patrick’s parents learned he had survived an in-utero stroke and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, their world was rocked. They began preparing for Patrick’s future. They found Ability KC and connected with the classroom structure right away. His parents liked the integrated therapy for Patrick.

The family also liked the peer model option for his brother, Charlie. Patrick gained strength, balance, and confidence. He began to flourish at Ability KC. At the same time, Charlie learned how to be an advocate for those who are differently-abled.
