Seeking COTA to integrate strong clinical background to deliver in-home modification consultations for individuals with developmental disabilities in support of their desire to safely age in place with the supports and within the community they desire. Under the general direction of the Adaptive Computer & Communication Technology (ACCT) Program Manager, this role works within the assistive technology team to also support therapist and patient activities to schedule services, coordinate daily operations of assigned services/programs, and work in collaboration with related disciplines, payers, and referral sources. Must have strong organization and communication skills to work with county service coordination representatives, and provide thorough documentation related to home modification resources.

Education:

  • Minimum Associate’s Degree in occupational therapy.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a therapist or within other rehabilitation field.
  • 2 years experience implementing direct patient care services.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in home health and/or rehabilitation with strong knowledge of DME required.

Knowledge/Skills/Licensure/Certification:

  • Demonstrated ability to assist in program development and involvement with special projects and representation of Ability KC.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing required.
  • Ongoing quest to learn.
  • Current NBCOT.
  • Missouri professional licenses in occupational therapy.
  • CPR certification or eligible.
