EXCEL program fitness and wellness sessions will take place in our adaptive therapy gym located at our main outpatient therapy location in Kansas City.
Don’t Just Live Your Life, EXCEL in it.
The EXCEL Program at Ability KC is our health and fitness program designed for individuals receiving outpatient medical rehabilitation.
This fitness program for disabled adults and children focuses on helping individuals improve their physical fitness and overall wellness. Our team accomplishes this through cardiovascular conditioning, strength, and flexibility training that matches the individuals’ physical abilities.
Our Process
What You Can Expect
Our Approach to Fitness Programs for Disabled Adults
-
The first step to receiving care through Ability KC is to connect with a case manager. Our case managers serve as patient advocates and guide individuals and families throughout their journey at Ability KC. They’ll be able to connect you with the appropriate care team based on your specific challenges and your individual goals.
-
Each individual will receive a fitness assessment performed by a physical therapist, and a fitness program will be tailored to the individual’s fitness goals. The length of all fitness programs for disabled adults and children will also vary based on the individual.
-
Through the EXCEL program, you are given the tools and direction to take charge of your fitness and wellness goals in our accessible and adaptive therapy gym. However, individuals who go through the EXCEL program are welcome to restart or discontinue their program if their goals change.
