Rehabilitation Technician - Therapeutic Preschool

Our therapeutic preschool is seeking a Rehab Tech. Our staff establishes a positive, pleasant, and safe learning environment for all children where learning is stimulating and appropriate for the children’s abilities.

Promotes the physical, social emotional and cognitive development of young children and respond to the needs of the families. Provides a developmental experiential approach within the classroom that accommodates children with special need and follows appropriate practices for early childhood equation. Active participant of the child’s team. Other duties as assigned.

Position is at our therapeutic learning preschool providing services to children with disabilities. You will have a great team of teachers and administrative staff to collaborate with and a wonderful group of children that will tug at your heart. School runs year-round, so never lose work during the summer!

Under close supervision of physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist or occupational therapist assistant, performs selected, delegated skilled tasks in specific situations. Assists therapist, assistant or student in delivery of care. May assist Speech Pathologist, RN or Rehab Assistant as directed.

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience:

• Six months experience in a health care setting or equivalent technical training in a related health care field.

Knowledge/Skills/Licensure/Certification:

• Flexibility.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is required.
• Word processing experience preferred.
