Ability KC is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for our Summer Pediatric and Adolescent program. This position is a Summer PRN-as needed-and offers flexibility. Under general direction of the Supervisor, the Speech Language Pathologist will perform patient care related tasks and functional supervision of support staff in our Pediatric rehabilitation services.
Education:
Master’s degree Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited school required.
Experience:
- No experience required.
- 2 years experience with evidence of success in the evaluation and treatment of young children with disabilities and/or developmental delays preferred.
- Proficiency in working with early intervention, early childhood and school age populations preferred.
License/Certification:
Missouri SLP License or eligible
Knowledge/Skills/Licensure/Certification:
- Flexibility with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing required
- Able to work collaboratively with team members of other disciplines
- Able to apply new skills/information to existing practices
- Able to consistently meet billable unit expectations
- Able to complete required documentation within established timeframes – Word processing experience preferred
- Able to work with families from a variety of ethnic, cultural, linguistics, social economic and religious backgrounds
- CPR certification or eligible
