Hanger Clinic
Pediatric Symposium

The Pediatric Symposium is an evidence-based program designed to provide healthcare professionals with insight into the role of orthotic intervention for optimal management of a wide range of pediatric diagnoses.

The Hanger Institute for Clinical Research and Education, along with the Kansas City, MO Hanger Clinic, and Ability KC have organized this to provide the most up to date information and education for pediatric clinicians around the country.

This will be a virtual event for all healthcare professionals who work and care for pediatric orthotic patients. Attendees will have an opportunity to further their knowledge of common pediatric diagnoses, presentations, and the role of orthotic intervention.

Healthy KC Q1 Networking Forum: Aligned Purpose: Democratizing Leadership, Performance, and Wellbeing

The Healthy KC Workplace Wellness Action Team and the Kansas City Academy of Culture Ambassadors Chapter hosted a Networking Forum to discuss the democratizing of leadership, performance, and wellbeing as today’s opportunity and challenge focus our purpose. Discussion panel included,  Amy Castillo, CEO and Executive Director of Ability KC, and Jack Bastable, President & Founder of Vital Leadership, LLC. two of Kansas City’s recognized leaders in efforts to impact health and productivity through innovative workforce strategies. They discussed research and work culture examples that promote all individuals and teams to practice leadership when supported by an ethos of wellbeing. Dan McDonough, President of the Kansas City Chapter of Culture Ambassadors, moderated the morning activities.

The International Neuropsychological Society (INS) Conference
New Orleans – Virtual Conference, 50th Annual Meeting, Cultivating a New Ethos

 

Joined by national and international presenters at the INS Conference, Ability KC’s experts Terrie Price Ph.D, ABPP,  Director of Neuropsychology, Developmental and Behavioral Health Services, and Michael Kolessar Psy.D., Neuropsychologist, have partnered with Pamela Payne MA, Psy.D. Candidate, to provide expert insight through their collaborative presentation to enhance continued conversations and the future direction of Neuropsychology practices in the areas of cross-cultural neuropsychology, underserved communities, supervision and training models in a multiethnic and interconnected world, and effects of environmental exposures and social disparities.
