Internship Opportunities
Ability KC is pleased to offer a variety of internship opportunities to support our 2026 Summer programs. Internships will allow individuals to have hands-on experience working with patients with disabilities as guided by a multidisciplinary therapy team.
Key Dates:
- Applications open: February 16
- Application deadline: March 15
- Interviews: March–April
For 2026, internships will be offered in 2 sessions as well as a full summer opportunity. Please note dates and time commitments for each session. Hours for each session will vary depending on the needs of the program and will be coordinated with the program supervisor. Please note: while some Summer programs have more set schedules, others may be coordinated around the intern’s work/class schedule, vacations etc. Please note all prior commitments in your application.
Sessions:
- Session 1: May 26th – June 26th (closed for Holiday: Juneteenth 6/19)- 5 days/week
- Session 2: June 29th – August 7th (closed for Holiday: Independence Day 7/4) -5 days/week
- Full Summer: May 26th – August 7th (closed for Holidays: Juneteenth 6/19, Independence Day 7/4)-2-3 days/week
