Since 1978, the Ability KC Driving Program has been helping adolescents, adults, and seniors gain or re-gain this independence while living with a disability. Through extensive evaluations and assessment, our therapists use specialized disabled driver training in Kansas City to provide our patients with the highest possible level of expertise behind the wheel.

Disabled driver training programs in Kansas City will be tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual patient. However, patients and families can expect to participate in a variety of clinical and behind-the-wheel assessments for the most accurate and industry-recognized outcomes.
The primary goal of the Ability KC Driving Program is to utilize our evaluations for individuals with goals of returning to driving following a diagnosis or learning to drive for the first time. If those needs change, our care team can provide guidance as needed.
Our team will work with individuals to develop a care plan that can include intensive outpatient rehabilitation services, goal-based group therapies, and interest-based resources.
Adolescents
Adolescent teens and young adults have needs that differ from those of younger children, and Ability KC offers a number of unique services to help them as they transition and prepare for adulthood.

A broad range of adult outpatient medical rehabilitation services are available through Ability KC, including traditional outpatient therapy services and our Adult Day Hospital Program. All of our care plans are tailored to the individual’s unique needs and goals and can include intensive rehab, goal-based group therapies, and interest-based services.
Seniors
Senior services at Ability KC take a comprehensive approach to support aging adults—helping them remain actively engaged in both their personal and professional lives as well as within their communities.
